Top 25 in Blackout 2 "Dangerous MC's" Remix Contest

illroots.com ran this contest a couple of weeks ago for the release of Red & Mef's Blackout 2.  I managed to make the Top 25 with drums and a freeware siren VST plugin.  The Ego Trippin' reference shows me where they're hearts are at.  Which is why they are so dear to me.

Peep it here: Dangerous MC's - Anonymous Twist Remix

This song was written soon after my 34th birthday and a few weeks before the birth of our second daughter.
Dedicated to all the "Father MC's"

"Putting grands in RESP's, they're future's secure/
I'm 34, can't rap for rap's sake no more"
(and I don't mean cash neither)

"Que Pasa" peaks at #1 on Rapattacklives & RapNetwork Record Breakers

Que Pasa?  Wha happing meng?  This track was written in the summer of '08 when the propane explosion incident occurred here in Toronto.  There's some great youtube footage of it here.  I was also reading "Hip Hop You Don't Stop" by Jeff Chang.  It went into the systemic racism and geo-economic forces that provided the context for the birth of hip hop in New York.  Or something to that effect.  In any case, they put me in a dark place.

"Behind the gloss, it's ugly/
The love is lost, it died with Christ on the cross, trust me"
